Plasencia Cigars has unveiled its first box-pressed cigar, the Alma del Campo Travesia. This cigar, which has already begun shipping to stores, is the first line extension in the popular Alma del Campo series, which made its debut in 2017.
Nestor Andres Plasencia, CEO of Plasencia Cigars, released the following statement about the new release: “As tobacco growers and premium cigar manufacturers it is important to draw inspiration from the consumer. Open communication with retailers, consumers, and colleagues propels us to create the finest quality in tobacco product, which has been our goal since 1865. The result was to offer the Alma del Campo Travesia in a Box Press format, to further serve the cigar community.”
Plasencia Cigars began developing the Alma del Campo Travesia following a steady demand from consumers for a box-pressed Plasencia cigar. Travesia is being described as an even creamier, smoother version of the Alma de Campo series. The blend is a Nicaraguan puro created with tobaccos curated from Plasencia’s portfolio. The Alma del Campo series has become known for being balanced, complex in flavors and having notes of coffee and nuts. It’s described as being creamy with hints of spice.
The 6 1/2 x 54 Alma del Campo Travesia will come in 10-count boxes with an MSRP of $17 per cigar.
