What happens when you combine several of the world’s top chefs with great cigar makers? You get a cigar that’s truly a taste sensation. The third annual Chefs Edition 2021 cigar from Davidoff Cigars is heading to a store near you and here’s why you’ll want to get this limited edition release before it’s all gone.
Davidoff’s master blenders teamed up with four internationally acclaimed chefs to create a cigar that truly stimulates the palate. These chefs–Norbert Niederkofler* (co-owner Food Space & Restaurant AlpiNN, Italy), Juan Amador* (Amador Restaurant, Vienna), Masa Takayama*** (Masa, New York City) and Jorge Vallejo (Quintonil, Mexico City)–spent months working with Davidoff to create a cigar that brings together the culinary and premium cigar worlds.
Here’s what Edward Simon, chief marketing officer for Oettinger Davidoff, had to say about this release:
“We are proud of our partnership with acclaimed three Michelin starred chefs from Europe and the US as well as one of the brightest lights in Latin American cuisine. The third installment of our Davidoff Chefs Edition unites the staggering expertise of nine Michelin Stars and expresses the common values that the masters of both crafts share. But most important, the Davidoff Chefs Edition 2021 meets the demand of our collective passion perfectly: the love for the finest cigars and culinary experiences.”
The Davidoff Chefs Edition 2021 features a Hybrid 238 Ecuadorian wrappers Negro San Andreas Seco binder from Mexico and Piloto Seco, San Vicente Ligero, Piloto Visus and Hybrid 192 Seco filler tobaccos from the Dominican Republic. How does this cigar taste? Well, it starts off with a rich creaminess and notes of pepper and cedar wood. Then the flavor profiles shifts to floral notes with hints of cinnamon and coffee. The final third of the cigar is characterized by a caramel taste accented by cacao notes and a return of the cedar notes from the first third of the cigar.
Davidoff Chefs Edition 2021 will come in 10-count packages. The package itself is something worth collecting and saving. First, the packaging will allow the cigars to safely be stored in a humidor. The ceramic base can be used as an ashtray and it can also be used as a serving tray to place your cigar accessories and spirit glasses on. The cigar will be presented in just one size–a 7 x 48 Churchill Vitola.
Davidoff Chefs Edition will be limited, meaning when it’s gone, it’s gone so you’ll want to get yours the moment it’s available on Sept. 16, 2021.
