Plasencia Cigars’ latest release, the Plasencia Cosecha 149, has begun shipping to retailers. This is a box-pressed Honduran pro cigar that uses tobacco grown by the Plasencias on their various Honduran farms.

“The Plasencia Cosecha 149 is an exciting project for us. Honduran tobacco is incredibly unique. We strongly felt that to commemorate our 149th harvest the cigar needed to set itself apart,” commented Nestor Andres Plasencia, CEO of Plasencia Cigars.

“Cosecha” is Spanish for “harvest.” The Plasencia Cosecha 149 commemorates the Plasencia family’s 149th yearly tobacco harvest, which took place in 2014. The Plasencia’s felt the aged tobacco from the 149th harvest had reached perfection this year and proceeded to create a cigar using this tobacco.

The Plasencia Cosecha 149 is a medium to full-bodied blend that has lots of spice and toasty crispness, a quality that’s unique to Honduran tobacco. The cigar’s flavor profile transitions to a smoother, balanced finish. The copper foil banded cigar comes in 10-count boxes and is available in three sizes: Santa Fe (4.875 x 60, Gordito), La Vega (5 x 52, Robusto), and Azuacualpa (6 x 52, Toro). Price per ranges from $12 to $14.50.
