Fans of Davidoff’s Winston Churchill Collection have a new release to look forward to this year. Building off of its successful “Through the Day into the Night” campaign, Davidoff has announced the upcoming release of a limited edition perfecto cigar that will hit store shelves beginning in February.
Following the release of the Winston Churchill Original Series and The Late Hour, the exclusive Winston Churchill Limited Edition 2022 carries on Davidoff’s eight year tradition of honoring the iconic cigar aficionado that was Sir Winston Churchill. In his lifetime, Churchill was known as being as being a skilled negotiator who acted on a different maxim when it came to cigars: when it came to cigars, quality was never something that could be negotiated. Davidoff’s master blenders took this into consideration when they created the blend for this new cigar, which is just as multifaceted and complex complex as Churchill himself.
The Winston Churchill Limited Edition 2022 uses tobaccos from Ecuador, Mexico, the Dominican Republic and Nicaragua. This elegant perfecto delivers intensity, complexity and a diversity of flavors and combines notes of leather and cedar wood from The Late Hour Series with the walnut and floral flavors found in The Original Series. To help capture Churchill’s uniqueness, Davidoff opted to choose a perfecto size for this cigar, making it the only perfecto size within the entire Winston Churchill collection.
Winston Churchill Limited Edition 2022 is a medium to full-bodied cigar starts off with notes of leather before transitioning into an intense walnut aroma. As the cigar comes to a close the smoker can expect flavors of fresh spices that are present on the palate and in the retrohale. Additional notes of leather and black coffee complement the spiciness, creating an overall smoking experience that’s as diverse, complex and effortlessly convincing as Sir Winston Churhill was in his lifetime.
In addition to the cigar, a limited edition round cutter adorned with Churchill’s silhouette will also be released. The cutter will be made with stainless steel and scratch-proof sapphire glass and is carefully finished with German precision. A leather pouch that can be attached to garments with a chain and a snap lock will also be available that will not only protect the cutter but also add a touch of sophistication.
Only 12,300 boxes of the Winston Churchill Limited Edition 2022 will be released beginning in February 2022. The box for this release was designed to look similar to the briefcase Sir Winston Churchill would carry. Each box will also contain a letter written to the cigar smoker by Randolph Churchill, the great grandson of Sir Winston Churchill.
