The Lost Angel 2022 TAA | Crowned Heads

It’s that time of year–Crowned Heads is releasing its annual TAA ESP (Exclusive Series Product) line, The Lost Angel. This 2022 limited edition release will be the eighth for The Lost Angel line and will be available only at tobacconists who are part of the TAA (Tobacconists’ Association of America).

Only 1,000 20-count boxes of this cigar will be released. The Lost Angel 2022 will be available in just one size, a 5 3/4 x 52 vitola called parejo Robusto. The blend consists of an Ecuadorian Habano wrapper, a Mexican San Andrés binder, and filler tobaccos from two regions of Nicaragua and the Dominican Republic. The Lost Angel 2022 is rolled at Tabacalera Pichardo in Esteli, Nicaragua where much of Crowned Heads’ cigars are produced. Each cigar will sell for $12.75 before any applicable taxes.

The Lost Angel is described as the “darker side of the original story’s protagonist.” The original story parallels Crowned Heads co-founder Jon Huber’s career in the cigar industry. The story is one of rising from the ashes and is a reminder that the smallest seeds must first be submerged in dirt and covered in darkness before they will eventually overcome the struggle to reach the light of day.

In a press release, Crowned Heads’ founder Jon Huber commented: “For the second consecutive year, we’ve taken our TAA Exclusive to our Tabacalera Pichardo family for production. The 2021 Lost Angel was arguably one of our most highly-regarded TAA releases to date, and I strongly believe that the 2022 version will continue on that path. We’ve selected an all-new blend for the series and I think it checks all the boxes for intensity, structure, flavor, complexity, and balance.”
