There’s a new La Flor Dominicana cigar set to make its debut at this year’s Premium Cigar Association (PCA22) trade show. Solis is described by the company as being the brainchild of Litto Gomez Jr., son of Litto Gomez and little brother to Tony Gomez.
Litto Jr. has been working on this project for the last few years during his breaks from college and while spending time with his father and brother at La Flor Dominicana’s factory located in Tamboril.
“I was inspired by my big brother’s project La Nox and I wanted to create something that contrasted it. We have pretty different personalities and I thought that the sun and moon were a perfect metaphor to describe us,” commented Litto Gomez Jr. in a press release.
Litto Sr. guided his son through the blending process while Tony helped bring his brother’s vision for the release into reality through its unique artwork. The blend for this cigar consists of a sun grown Habano wrapper, Sumatra binder, and a blend of Dominican tobaccos from La Flor Dominicana’s farm in La Canela. Solis will be available in just one size–a 6 1/2 x 50 toro. Each cigar will have a suggested retail price of $12.20 and will come packaged in 20-count boxes.
Tony Gomez spoke about this new release on a recent episode of Deep Cuts Live which you can watch below:
