Black Label Trading Company has begun shipping the 2022 release of Morphine to select retailers. Morphine is handcrafted in Esteli, Nicaragua at Fabric Oveja Negra.
Morphine 2022 has an Ecuadorian Maduro and Mexican San Andrés wrapper. Both the binder and filler tobaccos are from Nicaragua. Morphine will be presented in three different sizes: Corona Gorda (5 1/2 x 48), box-pressed Torpedo (5 x 54), and Lancero (7 1/4 x 42). Each size will be presented in a 20-count box. Suggested retail price per cigar ranges from $11 to $12.
In a press release, James Brown, creator of Black Label Trading Co. and a partner at Fabrica Oveja Negra, shared the following comments: “I really missed not having Morphine around last year. That was the first time since 2014 that we’ve not released it. I believe this year might be one of the best vintages so far. I’m most excited about bringing back one of my favorite vitolas, the 5 × 54 Robusto box press torpedo. The Robusto has the dual San Andrés & Ecuadorian Maduro wrappers, while the Corona Gorda and Lancero are full San Andrés wrapper.”
