Belleau Wood, a new premium cigar brand from Nica Oro, has been announced. This Cuban-sandwich style bundle project will be available in four sizes and in three popular wrappers: Connecticut Shade, Ecuadorean Habano, and Ecuadorean Maduro.
Belleau Wood is the famed WWI battle in France and has been brought to life as a premium cigar brand by Nica Oro as a celebratory line of bundled cigars. The brand is produced in Condega, Nicaragua and is blended by Indiana Ortez.
“Our cigars namesake pays homage to the Devil Dogs we remember every day, by presenting an everyday cigar,” commented Ortez. “This project is very exciting for me! Learning about the history and significance of the battle really allowed me to take what is normally a regular cigar for this market segment and focus on a memorable blend using choice tobaccos, something I don’t think is given its due with these types of everyday cigars.”
Belleau Wood Cigars come packaged in a dynamic box instead of the standard cellophane wrap. Each box offers a perforated break where each 20-count bundle can be instantly turned into a display box for single cigar purchase. Belleau Wood is available as Shade, Habano and Maduro wrappers and in the following sizes: Toro, 6 x 54; Robusto, 5 x 52; Presidente, 7 1/2 x 50; Gordo, 6 x 60. The suggested retail price per cigar ranges from $3.95 to $4.25.
The cigar is expected to ship during the first week of May 2023.
