There’s a brand new cigar coming to store shelves from Sindicato Cigars–the Sindicato Artista. Blended by Ram Rodriguez at the El Artista Factory, this is the first long filler Sindiacto Cigar handmade premium cigar made in the Dominican Republic.
The Sindicato Artista’s blend consists of a Corojo wrapper, Sumatra binder, and Criollo ’98, Dominican Olor and Broadleaf filler. This cigar will be available in two sizes: a Robusto and Toro. Each cigar will be priced between $8.25 and $8.75, before any applicable taxes. This cigar will come packaged in 20-count boxes and will be in stores beginning in early March.
“After working closely with Ram on a few projects, we’ve come to understand that this young man has not only a great palate, but also access to a wide array of tobaccos from their farms in Ecuador and Dominican Republic as well as their partners all over the world. We’re proud to introduce this outstanding cigar and can’t wait to hear the reactions of our valuable consumers,” says Jim Colucci, CEO and president of Sindicato Cigars.
Tabacalera El Artista has been around since 1956 and is known for its “artfully crafted cigars” made in the Dominican Republic. El Artista is mostly known for the cigars it has made with Major League Baseball star David “Big Papi” Ortiz. The Rodriguez family controls all parts of the cigar production process, from seed to the final hand rolled cigar.
