Black Works Studio (BLK WKS) will begin shipping its new limited edition S&R as well as the new Rorschach Sumatra. Both cigars are handcrafted at Fabrica Oveja Negra in Estelí, Nicaragua.
“Very excited for the return of S&R,” says James Brown, creator of Black Label Trading Co. and BLK WKS and partner at Fabrica Oveja Negra. “This year’s release features a beautiful dark Sumatran wrapper mixed with Ecuadorian Connecticut Shade. The S&R is a bold, medium strength, full flavor blend. The profile combines herbal citrus notes with cocoa and a complex mix of chili & white pepper spice. Also being released is the new Rorschach Sumatra. The original Rorschach is definitely a big cigar in a small package. The new Sumatran version is a lighter profile highlighting Jalapa tobacco. Layers of soft cedar, cinnamon and mild pepper create a complex profile with a long creamy finish.”
S&R was last released in 2018. Rorschach Sumatra is an extension of the Rorschach line. S&R has both a Sumatra and Connecticut wrapper, an Ecuadoran Habano binder and Nicaraguan and Dominican filler tobaccos. It will be presented in three sizes: Robusto (5 x 50), Corona Larga (6 x 46), Lancero Culebra (6 3/4 x 42). Both the Robusto and Corona Larga sizes will come in 20-count boxes while the Lancero Culebra will come in a 3-count box. Suggested retail prices for the S&R will range from $12.50 to $36.
Rorschach Sumatra has a Sumatra wrapper, a Nicaraguan Habano binder, filler tobacco Nicaragua. Rorschach Sumatra will be presented in just one size, a Short Robusto (4 1/2 x 48). This cigar will come in a 50-count box with each cigar having a suggested retail price of $7.
