The Punch Rare Corojo is making its annual return to retail this February and will feature a core lineup of the brand’s perennial bestsellers. The 2023 release of Punch Rare Corojo will begin shipping to retailers on Feb. 1, 2022.
Rare Corojo is crafted with a lustrous rosado Sumatra wrapper that was cultivated in the mountains of Ecuador. Grown in limited quantity, these rare reddish leaves give the Punch Rare Corojo its uniquely smooth taste. The cigar is bound together with a hearty Connecticut Broadleaf and the blend features Nicaraguan, Honduran and Dominican tobacco and delivers a layered smoking experience with notes of spice, cedar and nutmeg.
The blend disappeared from retail stores for several years due to a shortage of wrapper leaves. The Punch Rare Corojo was reintroduced in 2001 and became one of the premium cigar category’s first seasonal cigar releases.
Punch Rare Corojo is made at HATSA in Honduras. Each cigar has a suggested retail price that ranges from $7.19 to $10.19 per cigar and comes packaged in Rare Corojo’s signature bold red box.
